Birthday Parties at Boulder Union. A staff host leads the group from the first lesson through the last climb, with a private room in the middle for cake and presents. No climbing experience needed.

TWO HOURS OF CLIMBING

Intro to Bouldering
45 Minutes

The first 10 to 15 minutes cover a tour of the gym and fitting everyone for shoes. Then the host teaches the basics; how to start, how to down climb, and how to fall safely.

Cake, food, and presents
30 Minutes

Everyone moves into the party room. A good break point for tired arms, and the part where you actually get to sit down.

Bouldering and games
45 Minutes

Collaborative climbing challenges the group works through together, then open climbing on whatever walls they want.

Add up to 12 climbers for $18 per extra climber. Parent are not counted.

Runs the lesson, the games, and the timing.

You may arrive 30 minutes early to set up. Cleanup is due within 15 minutes after the party ends.

Common Questions

  • Bouldering is climbing without ropes or harnesses, low to the ground over thick pads. The lesson starts with how to down climb and how to fall, and your host supervises the whole session.

  • There are easy walls, hard walls, and a place to sit. The host keeps everyone included at their own pace.

  • Yes. Outside food, drinks, and decorations are welcome in the party room. We do not have a freezer or refrigerator available.

  • Parents are not counted in the climber total. At least one parent or guardian must stay for the full party, and every climber needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian prior to climbing.

  • Any day of the week, depending on staffing and gym traffic. Send your preferred days and we will come back with the times that are open.

  • The full two hours, the party room, your host, and climbing shoes and chalk for every climber, up to 8 climbers is $290. There are no per-child gear fees and parents are not charged. Food and decorations are the only things you bring.

  • A $150 deposit reserves your time slot. We send payment details and waiver links once we confirm your time.
